BUDDAH MOUNTAIN RD AND TURN LEFT. CONTINUE FOR 10KM TO THE T JUNCTION

WITH HIGHWAY 331 AND TURN LEFT (HHH). AFTER 100MTRS TURN RIGHT (HHH) AND

DRIVE FOR 1.3KM TO THE (HHH) SIGN DIRECTING YOU LEFT ON A SMALL SOI . FOLLOW

THIS FOR SOI FOR APPROX 1KM TO THE A SITE NEAR THE LAKE .

Sunday 15th Oct was an auspicious day!
The monsoon deity smiled sweetly on the Two Dicks and so they were out at the first sparrow's fart, at last able to lay paper without fear of it being turned into a muddy pulp and washed away. Apparently there was no foundation in an ugly rumor being circulated that Up & Down Dick had to be extracted/collected from a local drinking establishment by his co hare at 0600hrs – we all know the bars close at 0200hrs!!
What a beautiful A site they have found in a glade of trees overlooking a lake with plenty of tables and seating for the multitude of hashers who apprehensively poured from a very full hash bus as it arrived having negotiated a wet muddy track into the site.
A slightly longer journey today but well worth the effort. To be able to run in a “new area” is quite a novelty and much appreciated. Hares with brains? What a dark thought, perhaps not.
Your scribe today has many despondent even unpleasant thoughts but very few of these can be directed at two very hard working hares. What a good run this was!
ON TRAIL
Form a circle the G.M. thundered. Lets introduce the visitors and virgins to every one and give them a welcome drink…….much muttering about water being used until they are told that a hasher died on trail a few years ago having become dehydrated. Thailand is hot! Hash horn gifted to Lord Lucan and it's ON OUT.
A very large pack snaked away from the A site looking for the first paper. Lynx's and the remainder of the FRB's charged off towards the lake only to be thwarted by the hares devious minds. Sheik Bin Shaggin, that doyen of the fast short cut stumbled across the trail and shouted ONON “this paper stuff looks familiar”.
The trail entered some long grass and meandered away from the lake onto a path where we could stretch our legs for the first time. The FRB's are still not in sight as the first check is solved. Borderline has become over excited and is seen waggling his Willy about on the edge of the trail!!
The terrain changed and we plunged into the Jungle along a dry stream bed back towards the lake. Much black shiggy now and we are all revert to walking and stumbling, but then up a very steep bank and on to another path. Wet shoes and running don't go together! CHECK. Aussie Bob, mistakenly has solved this one? Hash Horn has become sexually active by the noise it's emitting.
At this stage the hares snare all but the few FRB's – we can see the trail 50 meters away why go all the way up there to come all the way back? Waist deep water! A few refusals but KAM and a few Aussie's seen taking the plunge with a large splash.
Away from the lake and we start to climb towards a small hill -at this stage the scribe peaked too early and lost the FRB's but from the noise emitted they had great fun solving the subsequent checks.
Most of the pack arrived back on the A site together after just over one hour and promptly cooled off with some ice cold beverages and helped themselves to the huge spread of food courtesy of Peniscillin and the hares.
As dusk was gathering the circle was illuminated by two banks of flood lights and the fun began……..
