Mee Ghob

Well, roped into scribing again. Lovely run, somewhere near the new Savanaboom airport with lots of mountains and dry creekbeds with lots of thorns on the false trails. The Hare was Mee Grob from the Bangkok Hash whose name nobody understood until I figured out that if you read it in reverse, it's Bugger Me. Being Swiss, he likes the mountains and this run proved that.

Seemed to be a graveyard of some sort with lots of Chinese and Thai monuments which I found to be in a very peaceful place. Lots of Cassava plantations and we hardly destroyed any at all.

There were actually 3 runs, cracks going about 100 meters and heading back for that strange food that they eat, walkers who went halfway and then went back on PINK PAPER (wimps), and FRB's who really had a very strenuous and exhilarating run led to the finish by Fireman in about 1 hr 15 minutes and followed by the rest of the pack in about 1 hr 45 minutes. Fireman was so fast, he actually had to go back and rescue the pack when they couldn't find paper at the last check.

One other interesting note was when Sheik Me Me lost his glasses on the mountain and was aided in his search by other Hashers, causing Jackal to fall down a 50 foot embankment.

AFTER the run, Mee Grob, who apparently enlisted the help of the Forest Rangers to lay the run, told us that his Thai government co-hares had recently released 500 snakes in that area who had been captured in the villages trying to escape the floods. At that point a head count was taken but I guess we're either too fast or too fat for the snakes to be interested in and all hashers were accounted for .
