Jazzer & Split Beaver

From Pattaya Klang turn left onto the Sukhumvit and drive towards Bangkok .

Turn right onto Highways 36 (Rayong).

After 8.5km pass under flyover with road 3240 and zero your odometer.

Approx 5km later look for HHH sign directing you to turn left onto a dirt track.

This track is just past the Bira Racing Circuit entrance if you look to your right.

Find the A site 250 mtrs along the track.

I stumbled across the PJH3 (ARU) Advance Recee Unit strung out along the hard shoulder Highway 36. Seemingly, the hares (one in particular) chose to ignore a land owners requests not to run across their land and so threatened the boys in brown could become involved.
With great foresight the (ARU) have moved onto plan B and a new A site is quickly located, to wit our infamous hare Jazzer congratulates himself for a job well done and adds that the move will in no way impinge on his run “has any one got some paper handy”
New shoes, Visitors and Virgins dealt with super fast by our new super fast GM – there weren’t any and so the ONON is called down into a muddy quarry and out up the “North Face. However, the intrepid Sir Lance chose to tackle the East Face which turned into a very difficult ordeal and left him urgently in need of a clean pair of shorts to say nothing about a new manicure. On the Rocks heard to mutter that her Daddy was “very stupid”.
The first check held the pack momentarily until the our New GM sniffed paper out and called ONON around a pineapple field several times before shooting off to the left – confusing because we have apparently run the second loop before the first and go backwards….however the run gets better and better from this point onwards and we encounter a good mix of terrain and amazingly keep dry shoes after a heavy previous nights rain.
The hares managed to keep the pack together with the use of loops. The FRB’S pumping away in front along a hedge row go through the hedge encounter a 180 degree turn down the other side and the remainder of the pack step through on to the trail – a check with out the check! Other notable run events included Quazzy Ball Ringer stampeding through a makeshift gate and then the subsequent repair work. One of the Hares -Split Beaver spotted on trail giving directions to some FRB’S –
The majority of the pack arrived back at the A site in just over one hour to be greeted by the hares and a great spread of cold meats, pickles and breads – Thumbs up just for the food.
