The first thing hares Rodger the Sick Prick and Rusty Ringhole said to Jellobutt as he came across the "A" site after an hour and thirty minutes in the bush chasing live paper was, "We could hear your On On calls to the pack behind you and thought you might be close enough to catch us so we high tailed it through the cow field to slow you down at the end." Seems the hares could hear Jellobutt calling On On loud and clear while the rest of the deaf pack leaders including GI Joe and Festering Streaker couldn't hear a thing. Shows how close the hares actually were to getting caught. But then again, maybe I'm getting just a bit ahead of myself (who said head, I'll take some
of that.....)
With the live hares having a 10 minute head start, the pack went out of the "A" site with a vengeance determine to undermine the traditional FRB live hares Prick and Ringhole. GM Festering Streaker took back the hash horn from Jellobutt just before the pack took after the live hares thinking it would slow him down.
At the first check Jellobutt saw Jo Jo The real Hash Hound (no, not a human hasher, the cocker spaniel) return from one of the paths at the check as he searched for his master on trail. Jellobutt used that clue to follow the path hoping it to be true trail and it was. On On,
the hounds blistered through high hills lead by Lord Lucan, Really Sadistic Bastard, and Ball Ringer (AAAAALLLLLAAAAANNNNN). Up and Down Dick tried to run but could only muster up
a slow crawling walk due to hangover from the night before.
IDAHO, got completely lost trying to help Care Bear through thorns and difficult to top fence posts. The Malaysian contingency hailing from Malacca could only provide a dozen running hounds today but they were the best of the lot (fit bastards).
Speedy Gonzales main concern was that he would beat Rasputin into the On In site (competitive hasher that Speedy) but alas, Shek bin Shaggin' short cutter (now that's surprising) and beat both of those FRBs On In.
As the pack made its way over cattle fields, dry river beds, tapioca fields, barking raving mad dogs, more fence and gate posts, no trespassing signs, hills, dales, and farms, Vlad the Imposter was already at the On In preparing the curry feed and cracking cold beer to the hounds.
A really great trail, expertly laid live run, by two fine hares.
