HARES – Greyhound & That's The One
Sunday, 6 th April 2008 was an auspicious day! The monsoon deity was apparently placated just before the hash bus departed from Pattaya and so this ensured a very good turn out which included 7 visitors and 3 virgin hashers.
New and returning boots are always very welcome on the Jungle. However, where were all the regular lumpy ones? The pack has a very “batang” look about it today as it snaked away from the A site towards the first check.
Jellobutt and virgin hasher Helge see racing and were suitably punished later.
For an almost “in town” hash run the hares have done their home work and it turned out to be 75 minutes of pure hashing enjoyment with plenty of simple (difficult) checks which ensured the pack kept together all be it because some of the paper trail had been washed away in the lunch time down pour. The hares were even thoughtful enough to provide a shorter run for the not so able who “peaked too early” and needed to find a quicker way home the A site beer. Also, there was a loop check located near a quarry that completely fooled the whole pack
The hares (bless them) found plenty of Shiggy and one Aussie visitor produced a very exceptional nose dive into some brown stuff that smelt like pigs shit – all in all there was very brisk business for Hash Rags sales later.
Cold beer and good hash food provided by resident chef V.V greeted the returning hashers although it was noticed by the scribe that about 10 or 15 FRB'S failed to return to the A Site on paper and were more intent on racing one another along some black top.
Well done Speedy Gonzales , Lord Lucan , G.I Joe , Mrs. Head , The Queen (King lost without trace!) and the other who completed the full hash.
With the circle being called by the GM the evening's entertainment began. - if you want to find out about Big Sammy and King Yao Yao ensure you attend the next Jungle Hash 20 th April.
Run #120 represents five years of Jungle Hashing!
