The A Site was one that hasn't been used for a very long time, a large open
area with plenty of room for parking. After sign-ups were completed our G.M.
called the circle and welcomed out only virgin this week “Miliza”. (Does she
know what she's getting into) The hares Beverly Hills Pink Cock and Kee Mah were called into the circle to
explain the run and after a lengthy botany lesson regarding tapioca (A plant we
would get to know well on the run). We then underwent an equally lengthy
description of the run and learned there would be 7 checks, 2 false trails and
that most of the checks would be in the first part of the run to allow the F.R.Bs
their moments of glory toward the end. We were then sent off. The first 500 meters or so on hard road up a hill which
even had the F.R.Bs walking, before we headed left off road rounding a Wat
and onto the first check with many possible paths to check. Well done hares,
this check as well as all the others kept the pack together and at times even
the walkers were calling the trail. Jello Butt was heard calling false trail at the
second check (he does have a voice after all). We ran through a variety of
terrain zigzagging through grass paths and already explained tapioca
occasionally broken up with black top. This run had something for everybody,
even the short cutters were able to excel. Although our G.M. Dizzy was
humbled by the superior thinking of two of the Thai lady hashers who arrived
back at the A site along time before him. Although the second half of the trail favoured runners most hashers were back
within a short time window. The hares even arranged for the Virgin Miliza to be
christened on trail with a bee sting to her nose. We were then treated to a spread of assorted crisps, melon, pineapple and
even tangerines to replenish our vitamin C. Thank you for you work and a
lovely day. Hashers then sat in the circle enjoying the food our resident gourmet chef
“V.V.” had prepared before the G.M. called the circle to order. On-On
