Run #147 Part 1 by LORD LUCAN

Another fun filled afternoon at the Pattaya Jungle Hash for the many (brave) souls who have ventured onto today's run.

An earlier than expected arrival of the Hash Omnibus from Pattaya quickly filled the newly prepared (and raked) A site with a motley congregation of expectant faces completely unaware of the hares addiction to things aquatic.

“Form a circle” boomed the GM – Virgins and visitors are introduced, new shoes are christened…. and then Hans the Dutchman was asked to step into the circle and asked to explain why he ran Run #146, but failed to turn up for the circle? “Why did you spend a whole night in the Jungle on your own?” “Try using this compass today or even perhaps stay in sight of the Hash Bus – nice to see you back for another run!”

“Hares please introduce your run”. Spaghetti Head gives the normal discourse but added “the FRB'S will have to work together because the checks will need more than one brain cell to solve them”. On Out…time to go Hans !

And so it came to pass the first check was a very nasty back check finally solved by Ball Ringer which led into a tunnel under Highway 36 and out into tall grass on the other side and then down into a stream and out into an area with a rather disturbed cow (not Mad Cow ) who took and instant dislike to a startled Bam Bam who like many other hashers repaired back into the stream.

The next check was perhaps the most difficult of the day. Although it was a forward check the paper was finally found when Lord Lucan (perhaps looking for a short cut) stumbled onto the white stuff. At this point the pack started to stretch their legs and managed to solve the next two checks very quickly only to stutter yet again and have to search in circles around a tapioca field only to find the trail once again disappeared into yet another stream…..and so after scaling a large cliff we are all delighted at the sight of a water stop….and the malicious hares who are manning it.

Run #147 Part 2 by RECTOM

The second stage of the run started after a water stop which was very much needed after a grueling first part. This started by leading us down a road into the bush and along (yet) another stream bed.

By this time the FRB Shirt Through a Duck was so far ahead of the pack we were unable to hear him calling as we departed the watery domain for a final climb to the summit of a small hill. Here we were greeted with a beautiful sunset vista across Pattaya Bay and the islands beyond and then it was a nice down hill run into the A site. Well almost, we all had to negotiate the drainage pipe under Highway 36 once again.

Jellobutt was looking rather green about the gills after suffering a relapse from some sort of nasty disease contracted no doubt during his nocturnal ramblings along Beach Road….or perhaps it was the large thorns which had become imbedded in his balding cranium during the run!

The normal unfortunate FRB'S and the want a be FRB'S all arrived back at the A site in about 80 minutes followed by the jaded remainder of the “Dads Army” pack ….and even the unfortunate GM Hobbit showed up in the end!

The uneducable Hans – the PJH3 bastion of nights out in the Jungle refused at the first water splash and was then seen playing with the traffic on Highway 36 being careful all the time not to loose sight of the Hash Bus.
