Jungle Run 161

Well another great run put on by the Jungle Hash. Sheik Bin Shaggin arranged

for his Wednesday fishing boat to take all and sundry out to Koh Si Chang, an

island off the coast of Si Racha in the Gulf of Thailand. We all gathered up at

Bali Hi pier where Gi Joe signed us all up, over 50 I heard, and off we went.

Lots of visitors, a couple of virgins from Scotland/Thailand and lots of

returners, a few I hadn't met before, Try A Fuck, Twinkle Dick, Captain Kirk,

and the Dickie Enormous family. Somebody must be reading our website.

Very hot day, lots of sun, pleasant trip with no waves so nobody got seasick

even with all the diesel/dead fish smells that boats all seem to have, dozens of

ships moored all around us some working and others just hanging around

waiting for the economy to improve. Haven't seen that many cameras for a

while and everyone was snapping.

We docked, the GM, Hobbitt, took care of virgins and new shoes right on the

deck, the hares Sheik Bin Shaggin and Satan's Willy gave us a quick onceover

of the run then we leaped off onto dry ground and sprinted to the island,

running it in a counterclockwise direction. Islands around here are of the

mountainous type with a beach surrounding it so we had nowhere else to go

but up. And up. And up. Luckily some of the veterans had been on the island

before and knew the shortcuts, one of which I availed myself of. Even I,

though, didn't do the shameless low down trick of running clockwise right into

town and stopping at the local pub like Bridge to Nowhere, Rota Rooter, and

Twinkle Dick did. I'll remember that pub for next time and keep a close eye on

it. Smelly Bastard ran like the wind, finished the run first even after doing all

the checks, and then ran back into town to do some shopping.

Had a couple of casualties, Robbing Bastard fell and banged his head, was a

little wobbly, and had to be rescued by Shooting Star and Jackel bit the dust

too but just a few scrapes and a bit of blood. The run ended up with a welcome

swim off the back end of the boat which is always the best part. Circle was

conducted on the boat, we headed back to the mainland at 1600 hrs circling,

on,on ing and singing vulgar songs all the way home. We returned tired but

happy.
