The Power of the Pussy Run (Meow)
Where is Jackal when I need him?
Who are you? I'm one of Jackal's close friends! He's busy now working on next weeks run and sent me to help you! What do you need? I can do anything! And do it quietly and covertly! I need to do a short story about: running, hares, trails, food, and "Power of Pussy". No problem! Jackal talks to me all the time about those things!
First, when you are running – you must pick up your feet and put one foot in front of the other. If not, you will trip and fall and mess your "hares". Second, stay on the "trail" and do not go picking other peoples "food"! Jackal likes food – do you know that? Third, I know that "puss" is a "quasi-proper name" for hare! Which, I think means: "that all hares are, or should be" pusses! I hope that this helps you! Got to go now! I'll tell Jackal that you were looking for him.
AND NOW ON TO THE REAL RUN REPORT
Grey overcast sky with a gentle breeze – what a great day for a run – if only I could find the A-site! No HHH signs visible! Well, I'll just follow our GM, Rumble 4Skin and RSB down this dirt road 600m to the left hand turn off! Damn, he's going over 'the cliff" into the quarry! Burl Ives will surely have a few words to say about this! At least Mrs. Head did her best keeping the long line to a snail's pace going down the hill. Early arrivals: V V, Horse, RSB, Mrs. Head, Crazy Pussy, Bam Bam and others assisted the GM and hares arranging the circle and icing the beer/soft drinks etc.
The bus arrived and upon completion of signups a Rumbled GM welcomed everyone to today's run and introduced today's hares: Pussy Snatcher, Crazy Pussy, and Dirty Pussy. Monkey Mindy, assisted today's hares as a stand in for her mom (Sweet Pussy) who was home minding the store. After a short briefing about the trail marking the runners were off, on paper, down the winding dirt road by Mudcracker, G.I. Joe, Cabbage Knievil, Absolutely F'n Clueless, Vaseline Thighs and Eddy.
The run was a true jungle run thru vines, tall grass, tapioca, steep unrelenting hills, and tortuous rain washouts. Yes, Cabbage they are better known as (goolies) gullies! The cleverly placed checks, false trails, and back checks kept the runners together. The view at the top of the hill gave some runners time enough to catch their breath before continuing downhill thru another long gully back to the A-site. Most of the runners and walkers returned within 1-1:25. Banka Blower was today's trail sweep as he stopped along the way at the various shops and markets to see what he could purchase for the rag sales tent.
As per normal, everyone seemed to enjoy today's run, food, and fellowship.
If you missed it, you can join us again this week – 7 August, off the Sukhumvit – onto Hwy 332 for 2.5k, turning right and following the road for 3.6k to the A-site on the right. Hares: Spag, Jackal and his "friends"!
