We set off across the back roads today as it seems with the influx of all the people avoiding the flooding in Bangkok Sukhumvit has become a super highway! Anyway we had just got 1 km down the road when the heavens opened, within 5 km it was dry again.
We arrive at the a-site where it started to rain yet again, cars start to trickle in Greyhound decides to park in the softest bit of ground, and promptly gets stuck, after he sprays two or three of the helpers trying to get him out with a wildly spinning front wheel it was decided to tow him out, job done, we wait for the bus which to know ones surprise is late! When it does arrive and sign ups are done we are sent on our way fairly quickly.
This is a great running area and we wend our way up hill through shiggy, tapioca and and some really good trails. The checks were good till we came to the mother of all checks, the cattle were a big factor here but it was eventually cracked! We made hard work of getting round that hill but get round it we surely did, after that it was fairly easy going, if it was a race track there were many different lines taken some shorter than others but we all made it back to the a-site just before dark.
We were greeted back at the a-site by the hares with one congratulating us on getting back at the best run of the year! Time will tell!!
We had a good circle with the weather being kind to us, the rain stopped as we arrived back from the run. The only way you will find out about what goes on in the circle is to join us next week for our rumble in the jungle, you will be more than welcome.
Cabbage Kneivel.
PS. It may even be the best run of the year!!!!
