On an extremely hot and cloudless day approximately 55 regular Jungle runners and 5 visitors/virgins ventured into the vast unknown around the Horseshoe Point area. These individuals were in search of St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland. Many were clad in tradition Scottish attire. Those that were not of Scottish heritage joined them in their “out of the closet” nightly Boys Town attire! Although, St. Andrew was not seen during the run, many of St. Andrew’s (X-shaped) crosses were discovered scattered about the area and indicated that he had passed that way recently!
The hot dusty /sandy trail only lasted for approximately 500m from the A-site where it then became a slippery sticky mess of soggy siggy! Of course, Bam Bam (this area’s land expert) avoided the mess by not following paper to the first check! Is this the famed GM who expected everyone to follow paper and not shortcut when he was a hare! Shame, shame! Once the mud was passed, the trail split into a runners and walkers trail! Your choice! It was here that a certain lady was heard stating: “The walkers trail was too short so I had to do the whole trail just to get my heart rate up!” What did she mean by that Mike?
A good warm down from yesterday’s Monkey run exclaimed a sweating Pussy Snatcher! A good run, but much too short and dry compared to yesterday’s run both Clumsy Bastard and Mud Cracker stated! Bridge! What f’n bridge Try-a-F..K was still muttering – still from yesterday! John, a visitor friend of G.I. Joe’s from the U.S. and the dad of Baby Huey, exclaimed that the run was so short that neither he nor Baby Huey could get a complete conversation finished during the walk! Boy is that hard to believe! Speaking of G.I. Joe, he has been so sick for the last 3-4 days that he has not had a beer during that time and has lost about 10 lbs because of it! Joe also retired to the bus (with two jackets and a towel around himself) early to rest but, Rumpled Foreskin duly appointed Baby Huey as his replacement on the ice and in the bucket!
The overall run, food, and usual circle frivolity made for a great hashing day once again. A special thanks to today’s hares Burl Ives and RSB for giving us a good run and a fun filled afternoon and evening! I would also like to thank those responsible for the good food that we had before the circle! I believe that it just might have been Burl Ives and Miss Use Me! Thanks to all who helped with the set up and tear down of the circle site! It makes things go faster when individuals help!
I was asked to include something about the Taliban (alias Bush Woman) and a few others but, valuing my safety and the safety of the requester and have thought better about not putting it in! Sleep tight LL!
See everyone again on Dec. 4th for Jungle Run #119.
