When the yellow bus picked up our small group on Sukhumvit, I realized it wasn’t a normal day. The bus was almost full, with a lot of new faces. “ET”, hare today with “Lord Lucan”, gave instruction to “Johnny Tralala” and we reached the A site, behind Kao Sichan, on time.

“Rumpled Foreskin” called for the first circle promptly after the sign-ups finished. He asked “VV” to be the scribe for this run and immediately “VV” answered he was busy but “Dirty Pussy” could do it. (Did you ever see a run report done by “VV”?  I am wondering if he knows how to write).

At least 20 visitors and virgins smiled for the picture (They were probably thinking they could get a free T-Shirt after the run as Christmas welcome gift……bad luck this time). The hares explained the run, red checks, yellow back checks…….and a dead snake somewhere on the trail.

The pack left the A site quite slowly as we immediately started climbing the slope. I notice some pain in my feet even with my not too old shoes. I realized we were south Kao Sichan, with no more granitic hills and sandy trails, but limestone area with irregular and sharp stones. “Better look where you put your feet”. As the usual FRB didn’t show up today, the pack was led by “Jello Butt”, “Active X” and “Seal Sucker”.
They cleared the first check quite easily, but shortly after they got the first FT.

Behind, “Hobbit” noticed some papers hanging in the dark forest and called ON ON. At this point we started really climbing the stiff hill. Not too much light, and the very narrow trail allowed us only walking on a single file. I was stuck for a while behind “My GF knows I am gay”, already exhausted, and I lost contact with the leading group. After at least 15 minutes in the forest, and I could catch up with the leading group as, out of the shade on the other side of the hill, the FRB couldn’t find anymore paper. As a few runners were searching in all directions, the others had a nice view on a huge and noisy quarry. 

At last, ON ON was called again and the gathered pack was back of trail. Walkers turned right, runners left. After a small swamp and a few barbwires, we reached the rail line. We crossed it two times before heading back to the A site through pineapple fields. My GPS indicated 4.9km done in 1hour. The FRB “Active X” touched the beer truck ten minutes before.

The circle was called at 6.30PM and I think everyone enjoyed it.
